A Good Library is Never Finished

My heart beat a little quicker the other day, as I carefully backed my car into a parallel parking space downtown.  Twisted in my seat as I edged to the curb, I chanced to notice hand lettered signs in every window of “The Bookstore.”  That is the used bookstore.  Half off everything in the store!  Woo Hoo!!  I nearly forgot my intended errand as I greedily pawed over the Antiques & Collectibles section.  The stacks atop my bookshelves represent new (to me) reference books which I have dragged up the stairs, cleaned, labeled, and logged into my cataloging program.  They won’t make it into the shelves until I have read them--now there’s a happy chore.
